The average sale in my town last month was around $15 million. That’s because some LLC sold a commercial parcel to another LLC for $50 million or something like that and that somehow counted with all the house sales.

After all is said and done, your house is worth what someone will pay for it.

What he needs is a very stupid (more so than he) buyer!

The irony is that the neighborhood home prices will automatically rise when you two move out.

Don’t worry. If it’s a higher valuation number you want to see, your next tax assessment is almost certain to provide it.

Zillo says my house doesn’t have central air. It has for the last 50 years, at least.

Every single day I get a phone call, text, email or snail mail telling me they want me to sell my home. Sometimes multiple times in a day. It’s getting very old. I can block phone calls and texts and email, but they get very creative. What’s weird is a neighbor doesn’t get any at all.

This comic is ironic, given the news within the past couple of weeks that Zillow has lost over $300 million buying houses itself based on its algorithms.

I once gave an offer to a guy for his motorcycle, he said. “Hey it’s worth a lot more than that.” I said, “Not to me it isn’t.” He finally sold it to me, when he couldn’t get a better offer, and for less than my first offer.

Where the heck do you like if your house is not worth much in this crazy real estate market? The wrong part of Chicago?
