More than any of the others, our first Sheltie was a fish-hound. He often followed my mom up and down trout streams while she fished. And, he was always on the look out for fish innards to gobble down. But he hated getting his feet wet. When they came to a ford in the stream Mom would have to carry him across or he would sit on the trail and howl.
