The answer is neither. Fabric re-usable bags are much more practical. I take mine into the store with me. That is what most of us do.

Since the pandemic, they won’t recycle plastic bags. I wish we could get recyclable paper. These reprints are showing their age.

Paper… in time, trees will grow back, but you will never get rid of plastic, except to recycle it to make more…
