This brings to mind something my mother told me about when she was in school. Mom was born in 1927, so this was probably in the late 1930s or early 40s. A teacher was talking to the class about climate change. She said that by the year 2000, the weather here in New England would be warm, like Florida, and Florida would be dealing with the winter blizzards. The teacher then told the class that she would not be alive to see it, but many of her students would.
