I liked the nice, clean look of the stainless steel dog bowls, and we used those for our bigger dogs who ate outside. The mini dachsies, however, got plastic bowls, due to their tendency to drag the steel ones around the house, clanging and banging into walls! (At least they didn’t “bury” the bowls in our bed, as one of my sister’s dogs did, lol.)
