That’s been a long time since Betty laughed. We dvr’d a few episodes. They should have renamed it “Amy learns to privilege.” I watched Amy Schumer play house with her professional chef husband in their remote hideout cabin (definitely not their 1st home), with her live-in nurse / maid (needed…why? Exactly? Since they’re home all the time??), while she vainly yucks it up for the camera, or I can throw a hammer against a brick wall, which is about as exciting as this show. Except the episode with Jennifer Lawrence
To be fair, I did watch multiple episodes. Amy Schumer isn’t “learning to cook”, she shows about 30% interest at all times and has one hand full of a glassful of alcohol of some sort. Some of the recipes were interesting and even tasty, but it is good thing that it has ended.
There are many things we laugh at that aren’t technically “funny”. Pratfalls, and shots to the male nether regions (aka AFV and most of their other failure videos) for example.
Amy Schumer (+ hubby)‘s cooking show was funny, and I got a couple of good recipes off of it. It’s certainly true that it shows the type of lifestyle I certainly can’t afford, but that’s true of a lot of TV.

How do you laugh at something that isn’t funny?

Men seem to like slapstick humor…like the Three Stooges. Less so, women.

My wife and I have the same problem, but she does find many things humorous; like that guy who does “realistic” movie previews.
