It is disturbing how thin a veneer there is between a functional society and what the U.S. has become, even in those states which are not considered to be in the MAGAstan.
I’m sure this is not accurate. When a black man, BLMer and hater of white people, purposely murders 6 people by driving his SUV through a Christmas parade and nobody lynches him, I think it’s fair to say WI isn’t Mississippi. Despite the fact that he has a 50 page rap sheet (maybe that’s now 52 pages?) including an arrest for punching his baby mama in the face and then running her over with the same murder weapon he used 4 days later because it’s racist to impose harsh bail on a violent career criminal, Brooks was set free. WI isn’t racist but it sure is stupid.
The victims of this domestic terrorist attack:Tammy Durand (52), Bill Hospel (82), Virginia Sorenson (79), Jane Kulich (52), Leanna Owens (71), Jackson Sparks (8). 60+ people injured – 18 of which are children, including the murdered 8 year old Jacks Sparks 12 year old brother, Tucker, who suffered injuries including a fractured skull. And Jessalyn Torres (11) who is clinging to life on a ventilator. Many of these injured people will have life-long consequences from their injuries, not to mention the emotional scars.
That Wisconsin might be the new deep south isn’t surprising to me. Several years ago, while I was using my first computer and first experience on the internet, I read how the largest KKK group was in some state in the north central area. That could’ve been Wisconsin, I don’t remember. It may well have been that during the 60’s when black folk in the south were getting their rights restored, many white folks moved north to escape this societal change. In the process, they took with them their prejudices. Or, maybe the move took place during reconstruction back in the late 1800’s. Within these times, black folk have moved back to the south where things are much better for minorities, though Repubs have tried to roll back the laws to an era that was more suitable to a white majority, and Jim Crowe mentality.

Deep DARK South.

I guess I can’t call it the deep dark south, exactly. But it sure is the home of the free and the brave. Free of sense, brave enough to stay anyway.

It saddens me that my home state has fallen so far.

Indiana is the Alabama of the north. Maybe the cheese heads can take the title of Florida of the north.

Hard to believe Wisconsin got it wrong and Georgia got it right. Not what one might have expected.

White guy shoots white guys. Painted as racism? The liberal media can find racism in anything and anyone.
Except Darrell Brooks.
