What’s going on here? Yesterday Mrs. Claus arrived as a blonde haired woman wearing a red blouse. After making ‘friends’ with Scratch over night, today she leaves as a redheaded woman wearing a yellow blouse. (And she is leaving without Santa.)
You know, Scratch is a butt – however, I do believe he has as much right and logic to eat mice as the pirates do to eat grilled hamburger and steaks – as well as the mice. Natural selection of the food chain.
You know, I’ve never known a cat to eat a mouse. We had a rat terrier that would hunt down the mice and drag it out to the backyard. Then the cats would torture it a while before getting bored.

I’m pretty sure it has never been established that Scratch has successfully eaten even a single mouse.

Mice are disease laden vermin. Kill them all, or all least frighten them away.

I don’t recall Scratch ever eating a mouse, but it’s possible. I haven’t read every day. It wouldn’t be the worst thing to have happen on the ship.
