Some folks just can’t make up their minds. Besides, I don’t recall Gene, Mary Lou and Meg ever doing a holiday strip.
Homesick for chickens, that have come home to roost?
What? No lights joke? And they put ornaments on before the lights?
Hmm, but for which “home”??
I think I misinterpreted this last night. I thought they were nostalgic about past Christmases on the coast, as a couple. I now think panel 4 is about each of Gene and Mary Lou’s childhood memories.
Awwww……..
It’s only one Christmas. Let them have their fun…..
Arlo and Janis need to move close to Gene and Mary Lou and Meg.
Do Gene and Mary Lou now wish they weren’t with Arlo and Janis? That would be sad.
Homesick for what? Christmas with your family is the thing
When you have created your own family the word family has shifted, it isn’t your parents and you in their home, it is you and your kids and your home.
Actually, I would prefer Gus and his cigar to be with them as well – perhaps Mr. Johnson has plans for Gus?
This is a very lean family, one child and one grand child. No sibs or cousins.
