I think a friend beagle might be better. If he falls asleep on patrol, he fails; but, if he falls asleep with his head in Patty’s lap, his warmth and presence will still be calming.
Where I taught school school we had a kindergarten student who kept falling asleep during the day. We found out his single mom worked as a night janitor/cleaner, and she had to take him to work with her because she had no other options.
If I remember from my childhood days. Wasn’t there a cartoon episode where Snoopy goes and guards her house and the next thing you know he is engaged to a poodle? lol
Everyone who is asking how she can be left alone: THIS IS WHY so many parents (especially single parents)can not find jobs, that will pay enough for them to pay for child care. They are damned if they do, damned if they don’t.
I feel so sad for this little girl. Even though it’s all fictional and written decades ago, I still want to hug her and offer her peace and safety…

This is a sad one today. God bless Peppermint Patty & all children everywhere.

Don’t kids that age usually have babysitters when their parents can’t be home?
Ellis97 about 3 years ago
I didn’t know Peppermint Patty was so scared of being alone.

Time for Snoopy to fail the day. Seriously, he’s gonna blow this big time, even for him.
