My loving wife and I had many dogs and cats in the 35 years we were together and most of them had died. When my loving wife died in March 2021, I hope they were all there to greet her. Again I am sorry for your loss(es)

Quite a nice family portrait. Sorry for your latest loss. I’ve had seven cats and the first one has come to check up on me a few times, though not lately.

It came to me that every timeI lose a dog they take a pieceof my heart with them,And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart.If I live long enough all thecomponents of my heart willbe dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.

I tend to believe the adage of “When a door closes another one opens” is pretty accurate when it comes to our pets. We learn something from each one that shared their time with us.

They leave our homes, but never our hearts.
