She is totally forgetting that they don’t stay that way for long. If that’s all she is longing for, she should volunteer in a nursery or daycare, or babysit for neighbors. Len needs to help her see past this.
They don’t have the money or time (or show happiness) for the two they have. Plus, a third is more than “replacement value” – bad for the planet. If she wants to cuddle, use a stuffed animal.
