@Linguist Today’s double strip are funny , in both our HERO Mr Andrew Capp show his street smarts :o) my avatar is a picture of a lady happy that it’s raining heavily like I am because it saves me having to water my front, and back gardens , mi son desolato ke lei e la vostra consorte non vi sentite bene, vi auguro un rapido benessere mio meno vecchio amichor , our Sunday should be a little busy but we will cope I hope we both are in a good mood , but no early morning drive no shopping or errands to run , just stay inside the house and stay hydrated and at 9.30 watch the Holy Mass celebrated by our Archbishop on television , get well soon and a bientot pal
Good way to deflect having to give money to Andy that you will never see again. As soon as I get my monthly paycheck, I pay all the monthly expenses and bills, and put a consistent amount of money into my retirement funds. When scroungers ask for money, I show them my bank balance and remind them that they have more money than me.
I once had a PT shift clearing ad copy with a guy that was angry when he learned someone in ad-sales had won a decent prize in the state lottery. He said “That was my ticket!” and he was serious … go figure, eh? … :/

As I live on the U.S. West coast. I have no idea how far a £20 note will go in a Pub. Will it last Andy for the whole night?
Gandalf almost 3 years ago
Nope; Andy would have run into the pub to ‘share’ in Fat Stan’s newly ‘found’ luck….

I remember a classic, Andy asking Flo for the borry of a loan (as the “Pogo” folks said):
“I’ll pay yer back on Wednesday, pet.”
“C’mon, this is FLORRIE yer talkin’ to. WHICH Wednesday?”
Andy at least has the grace to blush at the readers…..

Chalkie must counterfeit money. How can he afford to keep paying up two tabs – his and Andy’s?
