I cursed out Siri once for wrong directions and ‘she’ would not speak for 20 minutes.

While I have great respect for law enforcement officers and the difficult job they do, I was able to talk my way out of a “running a red light” ticket by merely telling the truth. Two lanes were merging to one lane after the green light. Another car was ahead of me in the lane that was terminating. I slowed down to let him merge in front of me, the other car slowed down to wait for me to pass. He finally merged and stomped on the gas, apparently upset that I slowed to allow him to merge. The light turned yellow, I thought to myself I can make it if I stomp on the gas too. Turns out I did not. I explained to the officer what happened, and told him he could give me a ticket if he wanted to, but he would be punishing courteous driving. License returned, warning given, and I was free to go.

And they can be a real nag. There’s certain streets here where you get instructions every half block.

The GPS kept saying “Stay to the left”. I found myself in the pass trough lanes on the Pennsylvania turnpike. Two weeks later I got a bill.
