At first I was going to say that modern watches don’t tick. But the surgeon probably left his Rolex inside Ziggy.

The doctor wants to find out if (and for how long) it will keep on ticking.

That is one thing that you do not want to hear in a hospital. “Oops!” is another one.

The Doctor says not to worry, it was just a cheap knockoff!

If he hears a ticking, he’ll soon be fleaing.

We hear a flapping noise from your butt.

Years ago I was sitting in a very quiet kitchen with my landlord’s house sitter and I could hear her ticking.

I asked about it and she told me she had an artificial hear valve. That’s what I was hearing tick.
