After all these years, I still have a pair of spitshined Corcorans in my closet, that I never touch. I also have a pair of desert boots the work great working around the yard. (Big yard, partially forested). The Desert boots are far superior to the jump boots. As far at the NCO yelling at me, I simply told him to go pound sand: I was an Officer.
