Great ‘toon! The only people who lost their voting rights, were those whose votes were neutralized by illegal votes (AKA: democrat cheaters)! Let’s go, Brandon!
I’m with the majority of folks who want photo ID requirement to vote. That includes 77% of African Americans who some democrats believe incapable of getting a drivers license or picture ID, or to even bring water with them when they go to vote if they’re thirsty.
“The clogged polling locations in metro Atlanta reflect an underlying pattern: the number of places to vote has shrunk statewide, with little recourse. Although the reduction in polling places has taken place across racial lines, it has primarily caused long lines in nonwhite neighborhoods where voter registration has surged and more residents cast ballots in person on Election Day.”
For Republicans that’s not a bug, it’s a feature.
I wonder what guyjen would say if they had to endure a five hour wait, or longer, to cast a ballot.
Wow, leftists flag down readers they don’t agree with and very proud of their censorship. Leftism is a mental disease.
I’m Asian female and never had problems with voting in Virginia ever. I always have my VA Driver’s License with me. Before voting, I’m asked to repeat my name and address. The record is checked if correct and in a minute I am at the voting booth. What’s hard about getting a photo ID such as Driver’s License and showing it when you vote?
Lyin’ Mike Lester. Plainly and patently deceptive. For most of the 2010s, North Dakota disenfranchised more than a thousand Native Americans by rejecting official tribal IDs, ostensibly because the IDs did not include street addresses. It’s impossible to provide street addresses when they don’t exist in certain areas, like parts of native American reservations. (But not only there. I know a writer, a Yale graduate, who spent more than a decade living in a cabin in the New Hampshire woods, giving his address as “General Delivery” — although he did have a PO Box for financial stuff. It took the better part of the decade to force the state to settle. Not a myth. Not a legend. Not an imaginary story. And, in one small state, more American voters disenfranchised than there were verified cases of voter fraud, nationwide, in any presidential election this century.
oggi above demonstrates, first, how defective thinking begets defective conclusions, and, second, how abuse leads to abuse. it’s perfectly possible to engage in debate without first hurling abuse, but our brothers and sisters on the right don’t seem to understand that, perhaps in large part due to the influence of the petty-minded editorial cartoonists they seem to prefer…
Treating a clear and present danger to democracy like a fairy tale. Right. If all these voter suppression laws go through, it would take more years than Lester has left to read the names of the disenfranchised out loud.
Another great – and spot-on – strip, Mike. I am thankful for three things today: (1) SCOTUS, (2) Sinema, and (3) Manchin. The latter 2 are saving the Republic.
How about the 12,000 that were thrown off the roles for the crime of being Democrats’?
If the State of Florida hadn’t paid a contractor a huge amount of money, some of which made it’s way back to Republican coffers Bush dosn’t win the state by 537 votes
From the Rolling Stone:
Back in 2000, 12,000 eligible voters – a number twenty-two times larger than George W. Bush’s 537 vote triumph over Al Gore – were wrongly identified as convicted felons and purged from the voting rolls in Florida, according to the Brennan Center for Justice.

Trump Party attempts to damage Voting Rights and fair elections are not important in Lester’s alt-universe … so they are worthy of ridicule….

Why so much scepticism and/or opposition to the most fundamental right in our democracy — the Right to Vote!

Well, it’s true I haven’t had trouble voting, but then I’m white. Unfortunately a lot of people don’t have the advantage of being white as I do.
