Maybe Tour de France is Jing’s idea of his future.

I like that we’re getting a bit more of Jing, so he’s not just a wise-cracking background character. Not that I expect this to last long.

Old conservatives hated bikes when they came out. It allowed young people to travel outside of town! Even women could ride them! And the devil was clearly at work if young men and women were free to go out to the countryside together. They were a social revolution.

No. Money is freedom. Keep your job, or find a better one.

Wheels are wheels. ;-) You can’t go as far on a bike as you can on a car, but it’ll get you further than your feet.

I still remember that day in ’56 when I saw my first Harley!

there are those who walk miles to and from work every day that wish they had a bike!

Safety helmets and gloves. Freedom as long as I made it home for dinner and then home by 8:00 P.M.

I was about 9 when I got my first bike. It WAS “freedom” to a 9 year old. Years later I bought a car and learned what “indentured servitude” was, paying for its upkeep.

I hope Schwinn is cutting Cantú a check for that product placement.
