I often tell my little dog that if there was famine I would eat her. She looks at me with those endearing eyes that express the thought “ditto”.

I don’t know who “they” are, but “they” have no idea what “they” are saying. If a dog wants to eat, he is going to choose food first. When the food is gone or the dog is full, he will choose his human.

Aren’t those synonyms?
