Fred, jealously doesn’t become you. Be glad the Dears are welcoming your friend and remember, th comic is still named after you, Fred Basset!

Fred, Fred, Fred. That’s not quite accurate. I can remember many, many times you have been curled up in that chair that both Dears let you stay. True, there have been a few times when a cranky Mr. dear chased you out, but not many. Be nice. Kitty isn’t there often so you can suck it up when she is.

She? So, it’s Purrcia, not Purrcy?

Why are the Dears surprised when someone had to let the cat inside ? Fred stand your ground for you are the first Pet of the household ;-)

Cats are usually granted more furniture access rights than dogs, Fred. However it’s so good to see Purrrcy!

We had to buy a larger couch, to accommodate the dogs.

Well Fred, you weigh a ton and make quite an impression, not to mention your frequently dirty paws from digging in the garden.

It’s about time Purrcy was brought back.

Fred, keep a stiff upper or lower lip. She’s a guest, not laying claim to the sofa. (Even so, maybe she ought to. Hmmm… Even —> Eve for the first female kitty. Unless she has a family already to name her, this is my suggestion!)

I still wonder what happened to the other cat that used to hang around before this one.

Well Fred, you are not a cat. Come back when you can purr and have dropped a stone or two.

Here’s what you do Fred – you hop up there and snuggle the cat; the Dears will be so charmed they won’t want to evict either of you. Problem solved.

Fred, at my house you would be curled up next to your kitty friend.

I vote we leave the name at Purrcy. The Dears really don’t know if it’s a girl. They’re just assuming it is a female (and Purrcy is a great name!).

I think Purrcy works for male or female but definitely a kitty specific name
