Two out of the last three days that Gaylord has had some enjoyment at Broomie’s expense…

Maybe Broomie is trying out for the Olympics??

Snow is better than ice, but most years we don’t get either.

LOL! Hysterical!

During winter in Sapporo the city puts out boxes that look like newspaper boxes in slippery downtown areas but have small bags of gravel to throw out in front of your path. People use the gravel and deposit the bags in any box they might see later in the day. Fewer slips and falls on sidewalks. Boxes are not vandalized, gravel not thrown at windows or cars and the gravel gets scrunched down into the icy sidewalk, making it easier for all to walk. As the ice melts the gravel is collected and reused.

It is when it happens to other people, but when it happens to you it’s an entirely different story!!!

Back when I was in junior high school, I made it all the way across an icy outdoor basketball court that way and grabbed the fence to catch myself mid-fall. I remember being annoyed at my peers for laughing at me, but thinking back, I must have looked hilarious.

The old girl’s still got the moves.

Pretty sure I did that on roller skates once. Didn’t fall, and got an ovation by the spectators by the wall just outside the rink.

However, if she ever gets traction, watch out…..
