    There’s a point, here.

Why pay good $$$ for a half-bag of chips??

And it’s not just potato chip bags, but other snacks as well…

Down under a potato chip is a length of potato about 1cm square and a flat slice of potato is a crisp. Multinational fast foot outlets have french fries which are 5mm square. But then stubbies are short men’s shorts or small bottles of beer.

Actually it’s hydrogen that they put in the bag to force out the oxygen to preserve the chips.

I guess I’m preserved with methane. I will try not to leak in confined places.

A sign of the future when we have to pay for our air in bags.

Packed by weight, not by volume. The air acts as a cushion to prevent the product from being turned into a bag of crumbs.

Wow, I sure learned a lot today about the packaging and preservation of potato chips! I must remember to pick up a bag the next time I go food shopping, a small one, though, since I have to watch my caloric and cholesterol intake.

Gotta say the Truth: I’m with Broomie, all the way. Potato chips: love ‘em (especially Ballreich’s, sadly not available in my area)….
