The best toaster I ever had was a cheap thing I got at Salvation Army. It appeared to be unused, and only cost $3. When I quit that remote job, I donated it back to SA. I should have kept it, because in the following 20 years, I have yet to find as good a toaster. I recently read that those toasters, if you can find one, are selling for over $100.
