I worked in R&D, so there were always problems on my mind. Sometimes I’d think of some brilliant solution during sleep. I learned to keep a pen and paper next to the bed so I could write them down, otherwise I wouldn’t sleep for worry I’d forget them.
In the morning, I’d look at what I’d written. None of these “brilliant solutions” ever made sense. But by writing them down, they let me sleep.
