@Linguist Today’s strip IS funny , I can’t see how our Hero Mr Andrew Capp knows what Quadrophenia means , if it is about brawling he’s a happy camper :o) my avatar again is a picture of my birth sign Leo roaring his head off because he’s in a good mood like I am , come passerai il vostro Sabato mio mno vecchio amicho? our Saturday should be a busy but we will cope I hope , we are both in a good mood and after we do our bulk shopping we have no more errands to run , just stay in the house and keep hydrated because it’s cold outside keep safe and a bientot pal
I saw it back in high school, not long after it first came out. At the Huron Theater, in Pontiac MI. My date wanted to see it more than I did. I didn’t care what we saw, all I wanted was to spend time with her.
All I remember about the movie was these guys cruising around on mopeds like they were the Wild Bunch or something and every time they showed Sting his moped had more and more rear view mirrors, all aimed at his face.
Sad to say the Huron burned down years ago. Which is just as well, it could never have competed with the big megatheaters of today. It was still a grand old place though.
I love that album, was unaware of the movie. I hope they did a better job than what they did with Tommy. Ann-Margaret was the definition of “scenery chewing.” Tina Turner was great as the Acid Queen, however.

Yeah, I can see why Andy would enjoy that. I bet he wishes he was brawling right along with them.

My older brother was a Rocker, actually went with a friend down to Brighton to fight the mods.
Their motorcycle went under a lorry and both ended up in hospital.
