Tried Wordle for the first time today. I can see how it would be a fun distraction in one’s workday. And yep, 6th try.

I’ve played twice (counting this morning). Inspired by Rita, my first guess was “times” (no spoiler, that’s not it).

Before I leave for work, I try to read the comics, do the NY Times’ mini, letter boxed, sudokus, crossword, and, now, yes, wordle,

Here is a wordl tip. You can use a letter more than once! I did not know that. I haven’t used or needed six attempts for Ten days…until the other day. Very frustrating as I used up all letters to make a valid word and none were left. The solution had two “L’s” I didn’t know that was allowed. I couldn’t even make a sixth word with the remaining letters. My wife informed me that I need to use a letter more than once.

I love Wordle so much I downloaded Wordi and PuzzWord so I can play more than once a day. My go to first words are ‘saint’, ‘tires’ and ‘roast’. So far, my worst has been 5 and best (once) was two. Love it!

It was. Oh well. Can’t begrudge a coder his chance to make bank. I’ll play it till they lock it up, then find a new distraction.

I really didn’t know how that site worked, honestly… It was my first time there… after reading your cartoon… I’d never heard of it before… I had several windows open… apparently playing different versions… I did play the daily one but couldn’t remember which one it was… Once I had the Daily one… it blocked my reentry for 12 hours…

I’m deleting this thread so no one else gets caught… Again I’m sorry Scott… I feel really sick about what I did… You’ve every right to be mad at me…

I’m surprised the NY Times even had the capital.
