Look... Here's the girls' toy section. Tell me what you see. A lot of pink frilly stuff. Girls Right... And here's the boys' section... What do you see? Machinery, things with wheels, and lots of weapons. Correct. Now what do you think that means? The boys' section is more fun? No! Stereotypes, you knucklehead! Sexist stereotypes!

Wanda needs to chill a little bit. They sell girls pink fuzzy things, and boys machines for a reason. Each sex has certain leanings, so please stop complaining when stores sell children what they want.

Heard a story about a mother who bought her little girl a toy truck because of this very thought process. When she peeked in at the girl later, the girl had the truck wrapped in a blanket and was singing to it as she rocked it to sleep.

I do like that the toy aisles are a bit more combined these days.

Are they really stereotypes?
I heard a story, I can’t vouch for its veracity, where a mother didn’t want her daughter to fall prey to such “stereotypes” of little girls and baby dolls. So she bought the little girl a truck, which seemed to please the girl.
Later, the mother peered into her daughter’s room to see how the little girl enjoyed playing with the truck. She found the girl had wrapped the truck in a blanket and was singing to it as she rocked it to sleep.
