Perfect training would have been learning how to survive in the rain.Poor Lennie, will he survive the day with the kid.

Wuss. LOL

I, too, prefer surviving comfortably.

Is this the same brat we’ve been seeing in the last few strips? Could it be, possibly, that Lennie has had a positive influence? It looks like the same dog…

Does he still get a participation trophy?

21st Century survival. A pile of REAL newspapers (held in place by a cat), a full pot of coffee, and the patter of rain on the window. The lad? Happy with his device. Learning how to tie his neckerchief for an achievement badge. Maybe the dog will lie beside him for company.

Wow. It rained when we went out for survival skill. Came back with a bad case of “blood poisoning” from wet feet and the dye in my socks. I survived.

Makes as much sense as most things these days, I guess.

Either this is a summertime ‘toon, it is set somewhere warm (like Florida), it is an unseasonably warm day for February wherever the setting is, or the house has radiant heat flooring.
