I’ve always had a home computer since the early 1980’s. I think I am on my 5th printer. The current one is at least 10 years old. I went from dot-matrix to toner. I’ve never messed with ink-cartridge. Toner is a lot cheaper.

My first ‘printer’ was a Selectric typewriter that had been modified to print ASCII.

I’ve used computers and printers for work over the last 30 years. Aunty is absolutely right.

The reliability of a printer is inversely proportional to the urgency of the job.

Especially around tax time!

They even smell nervousness…

My printer just ignores me.

They also know to fear. I have a small reputation as one who can make a computer (and its peripherals) behave just by approaching it. You might call me “The Computer Whisperer” — only I think that’s a really stupid nickname, so please don’t.
