    True fact! (the best kind…) I read it in a Scientific American monograph many years ago. More bacterial cells than human cells in the body.

    The gut also has 0.5% of all the neurons in the body, second only to the brain. Considering that it is an amazingly complex biochemical processing factory, it’s not surprising that so many of us “think with our stomachs”.
