Its weird, Garfield has to know that Liz loves Jon, so why does he do stuff like this? I mean, he was supportive of it back in 2006.

If Jon and Liz ever do have children, then maybe there’s a good chance that the kids won’t be as ditzy and oblivious as Jon is.
