The phrase is “Better safe than sorry”… Why would someone want to be both safe and sorry? Though I mean… the character saying that IS a bit strange, and talking to another character that is BIT strange.

Maybe he just had a cold, or his sinuses are messed up due to allergy.

I’ve been shot and boosted, and had a breakthru case, that lasted four days, was medium bad for a flu, and left me weak for a couple of weeks ( I’m 77). For myself, I wouldn’t have worn the mask to prevent it, rather take my chances, for the last three or so months, The primary benefit of wearing the mask is that I could have covid, not know it, and pass it on to someone who didn’t get the shots, who could die. Seems to me that he made the decision and I shouldn’t have to deal with it.

I hate COVID tell the world I do. I hate COVID tell the world I do. Everyday I pray that it will soon be through. Apologies to Bo Carter who first sang Corinna Corrine in 1928.

Don’t think I’ve seen Tabby without a mask.

I only wear my mask if the business states one must be worn( inside ); if the signage says it’s optional ..well then I don’t …

Dan did the right thing, but with him gone the masks were no longer necessary. If I were Dan’s coworker and he ended up testing positive, I would then wear a mask for at least a few days in case I’m incubating an asymptomatic infection and possible variant mutations. Bottom line, masks protect you a tiny bit, but they protect others FROM you a whole lot.
