Instead of the usual Sunday double daily, we got a large panel at the top in which Andy said he was feeling lucky and then the usual consequences of such optimism came in the rest of the strip.
I’ve just been reading the replies to my comments on Saint Patrick’s Day. I see that rjm says that he didn’t realise I lived in Chester. I have mentioned it a few times before on this website as I have referred to pubs in Chester and to other local pubs such as Swan With Two Necks in Tarporley.
Happydog says that he hasn’t been to Chester but has been to Colchester which also has Roman history. Chester was originally called Castor Deva meaning “Fortress on the Dee”. This refers to the River Dee in Wales and North West England. There is another River Dee in Scotland. Colchester was named after a British leader named Coel who may also have been the inspiration for Old King Cole.
Guy-1: I’ve injured my hand trying to smash open a first-aid box. || Guy- 2: Why did you try to open a first aid box? || Guy-1: I tried to open it for getting some bandages for my injured hand.
Happened t a friend of mine. We were walking to class and there was a hose stretched across the sidewalk with a caution sing next to it. He was so busy being careful of the hose, he tripped over the sign.

By now Andy should know he is no good at multitasking. Even walking requires 100% of his attention.

Must be a sign that Andy’s horse isn’t going to win.
