Nothing like eating a good meal, then storing the leftovers to age and the flavors come together to make an even better second meal. I’m assuming the same happens with a particularly good bone. At least Jock didn’t get to g this one. Happy chewing.

With all the bones Fred has buried, in a million years some paleontologist is going to be very confused.

Fred lives in England where we celebrate Saint George’s Day today. Besides being Patron Saint of England, Saint George is the Patron Saint of several other countries including Ethiopia and Palestine. His place of birth may have been in the country now known as Libya but was probably in the country now known as Turkey. Saint George was a soldier of the Roman Empire who was martyred for his Christian faith.

Fred is much smarter than the squirrels I fed. I put out peanuts for them, which they were delighted to grab and bury. Sometimes one would bury a peanut, then a minute or two later, would dig it up and bury it in some other spot. Then there were times when they forgot where they buried one and never retrieved it. This would be apparent when the peanut sprouted a small plant above it!

Fred can remember where he buried his bones sometimes.
