I do that about once a week. Hmmmm … what do we have here? I’ll bet I could mix these together with a few additions and it will be tasty. My wife says they’re always great, and sometimes I come up with some real winners. Now if I could just remember what I used that time ….

All plugger cooks can benefit from the Internet. I just Google the contents of the refrigerator. :)

Smorgasbord sounds better than leftovers. Set out the various leftovers and combine them into a different dinner plate.

We don’t combine leftovers, but serve them as is. Somehow, leftovers in their original form always seem to taste better, having been stored in the fridge.

I like George Carlins take on leftovers.

Leftovers make you feel good twice. first, when you put it away, you feel thrifty and intelligent: ’i’m saving food!’ then a month later when blue hair is growing out of the ham, and you throw it away, you feel really intelligent: ’i’m saving my life!’

With some folks, it’s more like a science experiment than a meal.

We invite our friends and neighbors over to our place for “Mustgo”. Everyone assumes it is an ethnic dish. When they sit down, we announce that all the leftovers “must go”!

We keep the leftovers together on the front edge of the middle shelf of the refrigerator. On Monday nights husband has hot dogs with fries or beans for dinner and (when it is not Passover as it now) I have a chicken patty with the leftover Chinese food from Saturday night’s substitute "take out is the substitute for Saturday night date dinner out, and movie on TV same for movie part of the date. By keeping the leftovers on the front of the shelf they do not get lost and go unused – especially important early in the pandemic when we were limiting how much we ate to 1/2 to 2/3 what normal meals are due to being concerned as we had seen how empty the stores were when we food shopped around March 10 – so we even more so than usual, we did not waste anything.
