So many people have left this godforsaken State, there’s no left to sell to. Nobody gets too much heaven no more. Actually, that’s not true where I live. It’s that last tiny spot where homes are only half a million dollars and we only have 12 murders a year so people from LA and Frisco are buying up anything that they can find.
Seems to me, I remember back when the housing bubble burst, There was (at least one) con man who sold houses he didn’t own, to multiple people, who then showed up at “their new houses” and learned of the scam.

As Steve Miller would say, take the money and run.

Buyers? Must be from Alabama…

Wouldn’t be the first time someone sold a house that did not belong to them.
I had two friends rent a house from someone who did not own it. They moved in one day and were evicted the next.

Is ‘buyers’ pronounced with a Southern accent to make it sounds more like “bears”?

Good comic but no seller would ever thing an offer is “too much”.

Can’t recall which comedian said, " Sold my house yesterday. Got a good price for it, too. Landlord’s not too happy about, though."
