So, who DOESN’T have their own version of “Comfort Clothes” you would wear in private around the house, but wouldn’t want to be seen wearing in public?

I read Churchill’s “History of the Second World War” (twice!) and in that work he referred to the ‘romper’ as his “zip suit”, because it had a long zipper up the front. He only slept three or four hours each night, so to help keep himself alert, he would have a 15-minute cat nap after lunch.

It was common clothing back then…..minus the unicorn.xD

Winston Churchill also had a parrot that he trained to swear.

From what I have read, yes he did wear a one-piece suit at times. But to call it a onesie or romper infantilizes him. From the images I’ve seen, it looks more like a casual version of the overalls mechanics sometimes where. See link below.

Thank you. Yes, you could also call it a jumpsuit, and it’s very different than ‘onsie’ implies. He had them made out of suit fabric. I hate the way stupid stuff like this gets spread around and nobody bothers to check if it’s accurate.
