A dozen roofs in my neighborhood were replaced this year by at least four different roofing companies. The roofers worked very very hard and long. None of the workers spoke any English at all. Why are the Republicans trying to scare voters with these valuable workers who are willing to do hard jobs?

Funny how often that happens. Just look at what has happened after Brexit in the UK, which has lost all those European workers who had previously been allowed to live there without hassles.

If you don’t like immigrants from the south, I advise you to not eat in any restaurant. From the executive chef to the dishwasher, you’ll find Latinos. Anthony Bourdain wrote if you want to work in a restaurant kitchen you better speak Spanish, and that was 20 years ago.
