It’s sad to know how war destroys the family unit.

Is Nathan Grandpa George’s son? He has no Japanese characteristics. I knew there was a Japanese man in the extended family but don’t know much more about it. Did we ever get to see Grandpa George’s wife?

We don’t know if his grandfather’s family was in the US or Canada

My sister-in-laws’ Japanese-American parents lost their home and business in Washington state. They are now 99 years old.

I was horrified when I read of all the successful businesses, farms, homes and other hard won properties lost to this totally unfair practice. These people were never allowed to regain what they lost. Meanwhile many Americans of Japanese decent were fighting bravely in the European theater. Clearly one of this nation’s most shameful periods.
