They’re disabled because, during a rubella epidemic, a few soulless parents knowingly sent their sick kids to the school where my pregnant mother worked, exposing the unborn child in utero. They are, inter alia, severely immunocompromised. Since mask mandates have been lifted, they’re unable to go out in public, by MD’s orders. The psychological distress has been quite severe.

Travel in close proximity to other humans is still risky, no matter what the dangerous extremist right wing unqualified judge’s opinion in Florida is. If it is dangerous enough we need to keep the article 42 “protect us from infected immigrants” in force, it is too dangerous for travel sans masks.
Just so we’re clear, I should suffer excruciating death for not wearing a mask the CDC says does not to provide protections from covid but the more than 2.5 million illegal migrants who have crossed into the US since Joe Biden took office and are being flown around the country are exempt from your death wish. The problem w your argument is that it does not recognize the thing that attracts these migrants to our country: freedom.
The CDC recommends mask wear on planes. That hasn’t changed and neither will I. I don’t care what others do. The virus and the vaccines are doing a very effective job bifurcating the nation into the well and the sick/dead.
Lester, got kids? Did you get them immunized against measles, rubella, polio, mumps, tetanus or flu for their own protection? No? So, it’s okay for them be carriers to infect others? And it’s okay for me to send my infectious kid to play with them? If I’m on a plane sitting next to you coughing and sneezing into your breathing air…and I’m quite sick with a cold/the flu/covid and I don’t wear a mask, nor do you, that’s fine with you…because “masks don’t work”? Exactly when do you think it’s a good idea to be thoughtful of others and health conscious for all? Hmmm? Really would like an answer…
The biggest problem is over the last 2 and a half years the government and media have done a great job of terrifying and brainwashing a large chunk of the population. Thank goodness people have pushed back and we are starting to live our lives again. For all you terrified individuals ensure you’re vaccinated, wear your masks and stay at home if you’re still frightened. Take a look at Shanghai China and what they are doing to the people over there, is that what you want??
