Well, THAT was mean. I guess it’s OK when they pick apart other things, but if it’s something someone is just learning (particularly Gracie, who is so good at most of what she does), it’s not the best thing to say! (Yeah, I know it’s just a cartoon!)

Your allowance may pay for Baldo’s trip to the dentista, Gracie, if he chips a tooth.

Here’s a tip. While they’re baking is a good time to clean up.

I compliment my wife on her cooking… She says “You don’t know how MUCH went in the trashcan!”

Baldo’s got a point. Maybe the cooks are practicing the same as lawyers and physicians? Scary thought, and I’m the cook in this house.

My father ALWAYS complimented the cook, whether that was Mom, or my younger sibling’s terrible attempt at a birthday cake.

But still delicious (you still want her to make them and she will get better. So give her the compliment)…..

Over-kneading the dough will cause that. Sometimes less is more.

Overly cooked!

Aw, shades of Ellie May Clampett! Baldo would make a pretty good Jethro Bodine.

Does Gracie look taller?

Looks like Gracie needs more practice making the Crust.
She could Cheat by buying her favorite Pillsbury refrigerated pastry.
Pizza crust for a bread empanada.
Crescents rolls or Turnovers for a flakier empanada.
Or, puff pastry and phyllo dough both work quite well.
Or, since you will probably need several packages, mix and match by getting one of each. (Check Baking Times for compatibility)
