Or you could pop some popcorn yourself and then just watch the antics of your neighbours. That will make you feel good because you can be happy you are not like them.
I saw Dune, the new Dune, and it was worth it, but I got a small popcorn and, frankly, I couldn’t finish it. It was huge. (P.S. The new Dune movie is only half the book.)
The last time I went to a movie theater the popcorn was reasonable and The Godfather (one) was showing. My TV screen is adequate for anything I want to see.
Heck, 10 years ago, the local movie theater was already charging $40 per adult ticket. I only went there a couple of times, and tried to visit other theaters. They closed down in 2020. Who’s laughing now?
When I was a little kid in the 1940s, we had 2 movie theaters in Laredo, Texas, my home own. Tivoli cost 9 cents for kids and Plaza cost 15 cents for kids. No exra charge for double features

Haven’t seen a movie in a theater since 96. What are the ticket prices these days ?

I can enjoy a movie at home with my home theater, with any snacks I want, and without the annoying teen kicking the back of my seat, anytime I want.
