Prank calls were so much fun back then usually the clerk or shop owner that answered the phone usually played along a little. One that put a pause on my prankish ways was the one that after the “game” was over said to me “I’m so glad you called I needed to talk to your Dad anyway.”Totally freaked me out! How did he know who I was? Youngsters remember…no caller I.D., no FaceTime, no tech like that at all.
On Saturday, I mentioned that Calvin and Hobbes is my favourite strip and that Red and Rover and The Wizard of Id are strong contenders for Third Place. Someone asked me what my second favourite strip is. The answer is that Andy Capp is my second favourite strip.
I never understood the Prince Albert in a can thing… what does it even mean? I did prank calls as a kid, but I’d never heard of this one before. Must have been before my time. Would someone kindly explain it for me? Many thanks! :D

You can call a can a can or you can call a can a tin. Can you call a tin a can? How about a tin can? Can you? Can I?

If he accidentally called England, his folks won’t be happy when the phone bill arrives! But Prince Albert is English so what can I say, lol!

Imagine someone mixing up their prank calls: “Is Prince Albert running? Do you have a refrigerator in a can?”
