Our dogs always wanted to sleep on the bed or as close to it as possible, to protect us from anything that might want to TRY to get to us. They were very serious about guard duty! Even our class clown Jean-Luc, who was as goofy as a Lab-Goldie could be, pulled a Hound of the Baskervilles gig, when the police were tracking down miscreants on our block. He rose up off the rug, like he was on wires, stuck his nose out the window & with every hair on his back raised, growled in a basso profundo at the activity out there. Then stalked stiff-legged thru the house, from window to window, until everybody left. But, he did not growl at the police dog. Professional Courtesy, from Home Guard to Police Guard…
Brian Anderson – would you PLEASE consider increasing the size of your font? You might scroll thru a GoComics page to see that you are significantly smaller than the average and quite harder to read. Thanks!

Any excuse in a storm. No storm? That’s no excuse.

You do have a couple of cats in the house, though. And given what they get up to, I’d say the fear is probably quite justified.

This might explain why my dog always wants to sleep on the bed.

I, too, have problems reading the font when the panel doesn’t allow for increasing. I don’t want to miss any word! Thanks, also!

I was wishing the font was bigger, as well. Perhaps after cataract surgery it’ll be easier…for a while, at least.
