Ah, the days of a giant cathode ray tube in a cabinet, when a TV was an actual item of furniture. Now, nothing fits on top of a flat-screen TV.

I see concrete thinking like this all the time with my kids who have Asperger’s. There brains really do process things differently. Scientific American has a good article about this. Most people process images of people and of objects in different parts of the brain. They process it in the same area. They “see” things differently.

Why is the bowling trophy there? Was it banned from the bedroom?

i realize it’s a setup for a joke but it’s such an odd turn of phrase – “what’s on the tv?” instead of “what are you watching?”
