I sometimes forget and touch my pc monitor.

I resemble that!

Mum was NOT computer literate and asked me to show her how to use one. I set her up on Hubby’s computer and showed her how to play Solitaire. Move the mouse and click, etc. She did fine for a few minutes, so I went back to whatever I was doing. A movement caught my eye, and I glanced over to see her aiming the mouse at the screen as if it was a TV remote!

Reminds me of a video clip I saw years ago where a girl in her early 20s was handed an atlas and directions to a destination. First thing out of her mouth was, “where’s the zoom?” Sad… just sad.

Maybe she needs glasses.

I’d really like to see a good explanation of how touch screens work… and how they’re manufactured.

I’m pretty computer literate, but I got a new laptop and gave my old one to a friend. All the time I owned it I didn’t realize that the computer had a touch screen. She found out right away because she’s used to her devices having touch screen. So that can work in reverse.

Adding to the confusion across the planet. I saw a scientist yesterday say that it was causing a crack in our planet. What next?

My desktop computer IS touch screen.
