It still comes down to mental health care, keeping guns out of the hands of those not able to be responsible and reducing the lethality of the weapons. You need all three then you can blame school security for not being tight enough. And we don’t even have one of those things.
Cowardice has no cure. The only remedy is to identify and eliminate the cowards from their positions of responsibility. And yes, that applies to Uvalde, too!
Sure a lot of armchair quarterbacks.. bet each one of them would have rushed right in if only given a chance. Instead of looking at what the police did not do, time might be better spent to look how this “incident” happened in the first place.
The police did a poor job. Unfortunately, most of those people died early in the attack and a police response would have done little about that. The thing that would help is more sensible gun laws and a reduction in the number of guns in the US.
But by all means, lets focus on the Uvalde police response.
And the Uvalde police force bragged about how much equipment they purchased with a recent government grant. Some of that equipment was present at the school, but was not used for over an hour.
One of the teachers’ husband was a police officer. He tried to go in to saver her after she called him, dying. They detained him and took away his gun.
In other words, they were perfectly capable of disarming someone intending to shoot another person, as long as he was the good guy with a gun. You can’t make up this stuff.
True. Something Uvalde Police and the Democratic party have in common. Some need to be charged with Wanton Endangerment. For what they are doing to children with this trans nonsense or letting children die when a gunman was attacking children, makes no difference to me.

What’s the big deal?
Everyone knows police never lie.
.

Someone could get shot, y’know.
Obviously, they need MORE money.
