People remember food much more than what else happened at a gathering or meeting.

I’m retired now but one thing for sure I miss about my work is the snacks I get with me every morning and the coffee from the vending machine (minus the co-worker and the senseless requests)

Funeral food can be legendary as well. At least amongst our families. But it might be the shot of Red Eye that starts every gathering.

Eat, drink and be merry. For tomorrow you may diet.

Food is a symbol of life to a lot of people. Nothing like great food at a wedding to help celebrate the happy couple! Sorry I missed yours Amanda. I’ll bet it was spectacular!

The food at our wedding reception was amazing. I still think fondly of it.

Not particularly food motivated. I know we had it at our wedding, and I picked it out, but it wasn’t the best part. Best was when a Duke Ellington song was played, and every single child (90% were under the age 8) were out on the dance floor dancing with me. Have no clue where hubby was when we were dancing.

Aren’t manna, the loaves and fishes, and water into wine the high points of the OT and NT? Oh, Belshazzar’s feast.

Each religious denomination seems to have itw own Must Have certain foods at the funeral. And, they must be a specific recipe by a certain lady otherwise it doesn’t count. Iin the south you can tell the denomination by the food that is served. I am sure that it is the same throughout the country.
