Claire, you don’t know how lucky you are! My Dad used to live 20 minutes away and he was my savior during plumbing problems, electrical problems, childcare issues, divorce problems…. Now he’s gone, and there is a huge hole in my heart. Being a grandparent now, I appreciate all he did for me more than ever. I try to be that person for my kids and grandkids, but they live 2000 miles away.
