Please – The Saudi’s already bought them, they don’t need to host them too. Anyways, some have proven untrustworthy so why risk bringing them to your country?
Actually it is all sand but painted green to look (not really) like it is grass. This is based on personal experience. I was there on Military service.

I can not remember where in the world I saw the golf course, but the fairways, the rough and the bunkers were all sand only the greens were grass.
